Mystery Photo for January 31, 2016
Last week’s mystery photo is of a mural painted by Glenn Chadbourne on the side of the Lewiston Pawn Shop. According to Rick Lachapelle, owner of the pawn shop, he commissioned Chadbourne about 8 years ago to paint the first mural on the side of the Cedar Street wall. A few years later, he asked Chadbourne to come back and do another mural on the Canal Street Alley wall. Lachapelle mentioned that “we wanted to spruce up the building and attract attention.” Lisa King has lived in Lewiston most of her life and has seen the mural many times in her travels. Her name was chosen in a random drawing from a dozen who entered the mystery photo contest last week. King is the winner of a $10 Subway gift card.
