JAY — A workshop will be held Monday, Feb. 1, to review proposals for the 2016-17 municipal budget.

It will be held at 5 p.m. at the Town Office.

The Board of Selectpersons, Town Manager Shiloh LaFreniere, department heads and library representatives will review department and library budgets. The Budget Committee has also been invited to attend.

Requests for donations from the town will not be taken up.

“We will discuss our proposed budgets and will be seeking input into what everyone would like to see in the proposed budget,” LaFreniere said Friday.

Selectpersons and the Budget Committee will vote on the proposed spending plans for each department at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22, at the Spruce Mountain High School library.

Votes by the two panels on the Jay-Niles Memorial Library budget and donation requests will take place at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, at the high school.
