LEWISTON — School Committee regular meeting at Dingley Building, 6:45 p.m. On agenda: presentation by Longley Principal Kristie Clark, school calendar approval for 2016-17, update on athletic field relocations as part of new school project.

TUESDAY, Feb. 2

AUBURN — Auburn Public Library staff brings out rare local and Maine history items from the local history room for the public to see, 2 p.m., library.

LEWISTON — Meet and greet with Lewiston-Auburn Joint Charter Commission and its consultant, 5-7 p.m. in Callahan Hall in the Lewiston Public Library.

The workshop is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. The regular meeting follows at 7 p.m. and topics include a vote to extend a Grow L+A’s purchase option agreement for the Bates Mill Building No. 5.

AUBURN — School Committee, regular meeting, Council Chamber in Auburn Hall, 7 p.m. On agenda: the role of instructional coach presentation; 6 p.m. workshop on budget goal-setting and strategic plan.

AUBURN — Public meeting of the Lewiston-Auburn Joint Charter Commission, 7 p.m., community meeting room on the second floor of Auburn Hall. Residents from both cities are invited to discuss combining the cities.

THURSDAY, Feb. 4

AUBURN — Community Conversation series continues, Walton School, 92 Mary Carroll St. The meeting is open to all residents but especially designed for neighbors of Walton and Sherwood Heights schools and the rest of New Auburn.

SUNDAY, Feb. 7

LEWISTON — White Mass to honor health care professionals and caregivers, 10 a.m. at Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, 122 Ash St., celebrated by Maine Bishop Robert Deeley. People of all faiths encouraged to attend and join in showing thanks to the health care community.
