1925 – 2016

LEWISTON — Albert T Dagneau, 90, of Sabattus died peacefully Tuesday, Feb 1, at Marshwood Center nursing home in Lewiston.

He was born in Lewiston on July 22, 1925, the son of Albert Dagneau and Flavie (Cyr) Dagneau, of Lewiston. Albert was educated in local schools and worked his in Lewiston his entire life.

He enjoyed owning and tinkering with trucks and automobiles. He loved his camp and boating on Sabattus Lake. Albert loved and enjoyed all animals, and always had pets. Albert was a skilled, first-class flooring expert and was employed in that field his whole life.

Albert served his country in the U.S. Armed Forces in the 7th Army from 1943 to 1946 and participated in the landing at Omaha Beach, Normandy.

He is survived by his brother, Marcel Dagneau and his wife, Lou Dagneau of Northport.

He was predeceased Nov. 20, 2007, by his wife, Cecile (Fortin) Dagneau.

Special appreciation goes out to the Coburn family of Sabattus for their friendship and loving care over the years. Special mention goes to Marshwood Center, Lewiston for the excellent care they gave Albert during his stay with them. We also sends appreciation for the excellent care given to Albert by the Androscoggin Home Health Services Hospice program. We express extreme gratitude for all the excellent care, benefits and attention given to Albert over the years, by the VA in Togus.
