1912 – 2016
LEWISTON — Frances Bussell Rinaldi died on Monday, Feb. 1, at d’Youville Pavilion at the age of 103.
She was born in Augusta, the daughter of John and Agnes McMurtrie Bussell. She graduated from Lewiston High School, Class of 1933, going on to work in the main office of the Bates Manufacturing Co. until she married William Rinaldi.
Later they moved to Marshfield, Mass., where both were involved in the Eastern Star. She served as worthy matron and other state offices.
Fran is survived by her sister-in-law, Mary Bussell; and niece, Mary Rider, who shared the responsibility of caring for Fran. She was proud of her godson and nephew, John Bussell of Winthrop; plus other nephews and nieces.
Fran was predeceased by her husband; a brother, Jack Bussell; and a sister, Dorothy B. Winslow.
