LOVELL — The 16th annual “A Taste of Lovell” will be celebrated from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, at the Charlotte Hobbs Memorial Library, 227 Main St. The event features chocolate delights, sweet treats, savory bites and live music.
The event will be extra special this year with an appearance of the harp lady — E.G. Roth. Described as having one of the best voices in the business, Roth, who accompanies herself on the harp, has performed all over Maine, New England and throughout Ohio and Arizona. She will feature a selection of popular, Broadway and seafaring songs, interspersed with classical instrumental harp selections.
As usual, a variety of locally prepared desserts, appetizers and fruits will be offered. Cost is $5 for five servings and $8 for 10 servings of the prepared foods. Carry-out boxes will also be available. All proceeds benefit the Library.
Those persons wishing to cook or bake for this Valentine’s Day event, should stop by the Library or call 207-925-3177 to be added to the list of bakers.
Everyone can vote on his or her favorite dish and the winner will receive a signed Stephen King Book.
