AUBURN — Saint Dominic Academy has announced the January Students of the Month for grades seven through 12.
Students at the Auburn Campus gathered in the gym for a Student of the Month assembly on Jan. 15 to recognize their peers. Those recognized included: grade seven, Elijah Smith; grade eight, Jacques Ouellette; freshman, Dominique Michaud; sophomore, Eisa Lee; junior, Camden Jalbert; senior, Olivia Chase; overall Student of the Month, Annie Carman, junior; and Super Saints, the Bussiere family.
Students are selected each month for exemplifying character, service, leadership and scholarship in and around the St. Dom’s community. One student from each grade is selected and an additional student is named as the overall student of the month.
A new addition to the Student of the Month assembly for the 2015-16 school year is the recognition of a parent or family regularly involved and engaged in extracurricular activities at St. Dom’s. Teachers and students choose this “Super Saint” based on involvement and similar student criteria.
Teachers nominate students and a committee of administrators, staff and faculty choose from the candidates.
