LEWISTON — How fighting fair can make marriages and other relationships better will be explored at Lifetree Café at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, at 1919 Lisbon Road.
“Conquering Conflict: Healthy Ways to Tackle Disagreements” features a filmed interview with Doctors Les and Leslie Parrott, whose relationship-building work has been featured on CNN, Good Morning America, Oprah, and the New York Times bestseller list.
“The average married couple argues about small, nagging things as many as 312 times per year,” said Les Parrott. “What matters is how we fight, not whether we fight.” He added that fighting fair helps all relationships, but marriages suffer most when couples employ dirty tactics.
He stated that “93 percent of couples who fight dirty will be divorced within 10 years.”
Participants in the Lifetree program will gain practical insights and skills for fighting fair. Admission to the 60-minute event is free.
