BANGOR — The city of Bangor and Spectra Venue Management, managers of Cross Insurance Center, announce that comedian Ron “Tater Salad” White, best known as the cigar-smoking, scotch-drinking funnyman from the “Blue Collar Comedy Tour” phenomenon, will be coming to Bangor’s Cross Insurance Center on July 30. The Bangor State Fair will take place July 29 through Aug. 7.
Since White’s comedy start in 1986, he has achieved three Grammy nominations, a Gold Record, two of the top-rated one-hour specials in Comedy Central history, a book that appeared on the New York Times Best Seller List and CD and DVD sales of over 10 million units. In the past nine years, he has been one of the top three grossing stand-up comedians on tour in America.
Tickets start at $48 and are available now. They can be purchased online at ticketmaster.com, by calling 800-745-3000 or at the Cross Insurance Center Box Office at 515 Main St., Bangor. The Box Office is open Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The show is for mature audiences.
