BAR HARBOR — Authorities say a woman was killed in a fire that swept through her home.
Firefighters were called to the Bar Harbor home on Wednesday afternoon and found 46-year-old Melissa Watership in her kitchen.
Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says Watership was taken to an area hospital where she later died.
The state fire marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the blaze.
