I have been a Democrat since I was old enough to vote and this is the first time I have been undecided about which candidate I wanted to back at caucus time.
I have been following debates and caucus results like the impassioned citizen I am, but this year I am having a great debate in my head.
Though I am certain that now, more than ever, this country needs a Democrat for president, I am counting on discussion at the local New Gloucester Democratic caucus on March 6 to help me make up my mind.
And that is the beauty of a caucus — voters get to discuss their thoughts about candidates without the intermediary media.
I am going to vote for either Bernie Sanders or Hillary Clinton but, at this point, I don’t know which.
