1937 – 2016

LEWISTON — Edward J. Brown, 78, of Auburn passed peacefully on Sunday, March 13, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center with his loving wife and family by his side.

He was born in Lynn, Mass., on March 16, 1937, the son of the late Gilbert and Bertha Brown.

He served in the U.S. Air Force for two years and married Beatrice Anita White of Presque Isle.

He worked as a cab driver and the shoe factories for many years.

Edward loved fishing, country music, spending time with family and friends and loved all animals.

Survivors include his wife, Beatrice of Auburn; his children, Susan Bickford of Manchester, N.H., Kim Edwards of Lewiston and Elaine LaBelle and her husband, Bill, of Greene, Eddie Brown of Livermore Falls, Cheryl Whiting and her husband, Mike, of Sabattus and Karen Brown of Manchester, N.H.; twelve grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He will be deeply missed by all and they are at ease knowing he is at peace.
