RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian burial honoring the life of Ruth Lelia Naples was celebrated on Saturday, March 5, at 10 a.m., at Parish of the Holy Savior. The Rev. Greg Dube was the celebrant. Bernard Poirier was the altar server and Mark Belanger was the organist.

Prior to Mass, Jewell Clark sang “Send Me the Pillow That You Dream On,” and “Mary.” Music selections were: opening hymn, “Table of Plenty”; offertory hymn, “Companion on the Journey”; communion hymn, “All I Ask of You”; and recessional hymn, “Let There Be Peace On Earth.”

The Old Testament was proclaimed by grandson Matthew Laplante. The New Testament was proclaimed by daughter-in-law Marie DiSciullo-Naples. Prayer of the Faithful was offered by daughter Catherine Napolitano-Ross. Offertory gifts were presented by great-grandchildren Emma Hebert and Aaron and Erica Arsenault. Personal reflections were shared by son Eddy Naples; daughter Penny Laplante; and granddaughter Emily Naples. A recording of Ruth singing, “You Are My Sunshine” was played.

Spring interment will be in Farrington-Morton Cemetery in Mexico. Pallbearers were grandsons Matthew Laplante, Eli Mann, Neil Naples, Enrico Ross, Spencer Ross, Hunter Ross and Tim Ross. A reception served by the Daughters of Isabella was in the parish hall.

Services were under the care and guidance of S.G. Thibault Funeral Home, Cremation & Monument Services, 250 Penobscot St., Rumford.
