1956 – 2016

NORWAY — Brent D. Frechette, 59, of Norway passed away Sunday, March 27, at his residence.

Brent was born in Norway on Sept. 18, 1956, the son of Lucien and Dawnalyn (Dunham) Frechette Jr. He attended Norway schools and graduated from Oxford Hills High School in 1974. Following high school, Brent attended culinary arts school at Southern Maine Vocational Technical Institute.

His cooking career started at the Country Way Restaurant in South Paris. He later cooked at Katie’s Kitchen in West Paris, Evergreen Valley, Barstan’s in Orono and the Damariscotta Lake Farm in Jefferson.

He married Linda Clough on July 2, 1983. From 1986 to 1988, Brent and Linda ran L’AuBerge Country Inn in Bethel. Most recently, he owned and operated Bow Tie Auto in Norway.

Brent had a passion for classic and antique cars as well as drag racing at Oxford Plains Dragway for many years. He also enjoyed hunting and had two successful moose hunts. The fall hunting season was his favorite time of the year.

Brent will be remembered for his love and appreciation for his family and his home.

Brent leaves behind his wife of Norway; his son, Dillon, of Norway; his sister, Cori Henley and her husband, Art, of Locke Mills; a half-brother, Shawn Hickey; and three nieces, Michelle, Danielle and Jessica.

He is predeceased by his parents.
