AUBURN — Alan Elze, University of Southern Maine Lewiston-Auburn Senior College instructor and traveler, will give a presentation of iconic landmarks across the country at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, at the Auburn Public Library.
It is part of the library’s Primetime Adventures series.
Starting at Lassen Volcanic National Park and moving on to Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument, attendees will see how Mount St. Helens has fared since its eruption in 1980 and how it might look in 100 years. Elze takes attendees east on U.S. Route 30, following the Columbia River and stopping at Yellowstone National Park, Devil’s Tower National Monument and the Corn Palace in Mitchell, S.D.
Elze’s narrating style is filled with tidbits about the journey and packed with color photos of the entire travelogue.
The event is free and open to the public.
