1951 – 2016
AUBURN — Kenneth B. Merrifield Jr., 64, of Minot passed away Thursday, April 7, after a short battle with cancer.
He was born July 18, 1951, to Kenneth B. Merrifield Sr. and Delia R. Merrifield in Portland. He graduated from Westbrook High School, was a member of Boy Scout Troop No. 87, and for many years a member of Andrew Sabre’s Drum and Bugle Corp from Portland.
He was an experienced machinist in both Maine and Arizona, most recently employed by Arundel Machine Tool Co.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Colleen Merrifield; son, Clarence Swartz and his wife, Patty; and four grandchildren; sister, Cindy Pelletier; brother, John Merrifield; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and good friends.
He was predeceased by his parents.
