Promising newcomers: Junior — Cora Hooker (P/2b/OF); Sophomores — Kaisa Heikkinen (SS), Madison Starbird (C), Kenzie Kahkonen (3b), Makayla Starbird (1b/OF).
Season outlook: The Vikings are younger than usual with just two seniors back, but Oxford Hills has some experience and a promising young group. Goddard says much of the team plays multiple positions and has speed on the bases. Akers and Whitman were both starters last year and give the Vikings experience in the circle.
