Season outlook: Smith, who enters his 42nd year overall as a varsity coach, said that the Patriots will need to fill several key positions at the plate and in the field. Gray-NG will lean heavily on underclassmen in those spots. Their development will determine if the Patriots are able to make it back to the playoffs. Gray-NG hosts its traditional season-opener against rival Poland on April 15.
