1931 – 2016
AUBURN — Roger Donald Paquin was born in Sheffield, Vt., on Feb. 5, 1931, the eighth child of 10, to Israel and Flora Paquin. He passed away on Wednesday, April 6, at the Hospice House in Auburn.
He had eight children, Bruce, Roger, Yvonne, Roland, Elaine, Monica, Jason and Judd, all of Vermont. Roger was a proud member of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a milk tester, farmer, woodsman and retired from Paris Farmers Union in South Paris. One of his greatest passions was driving his team of horses on the farm. Roger was also a facilitator at HOPE in South Paris, where he met his mate Celia Hanson Conrad Brault and was a wonderful stepfather and grampa to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by Celia Brault, Austin and Beckie Conrad, Tim Conrad and Mary Anne Cobb, Holly and David Mireault, John and Cindy Conrad, Tiffiny Stewart and Dave LaPlante; his beloved dog, Peekaboo; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Roger will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
