RUMFORD — A local woman and her son were injured in a motor vehicle collision at Franklin and Bridge streets Monday morning, police said.
Laurie Milledge, 53, and her son, Alex Milledge, 12, were taken to Rumford Hospital, Patrolman Brad Gallant said. She had an abrasion on her arm and her son had a swollen hand, the officer said.
Kenneth Dean, 41, of Norway, who was operating a delivery vehicle for Agren Appliance of Auburn, was not hurt, Gallant said.
Dean was pulling onto Bridge Street from Franklin Street and Milledge’s Jeep was traveling on Bridge Street when the two vehicles collided at about 11 a.m. The impact spun Milledge’s Jeep 90 degrees and onto its side, the officer said.
Traffic was tied up for about 20 minutes.
