OXFORD HILLS — Serious homebuyers and casual lookers alike were welcomed at the 15th Annual Home Show on Saturday to take a stroll through the nearly 40 homes on display.
The Oxford Hills Home Show, featuring modular homes built by Schiavi, Twin Town Homes, Speedway Homes and Turn Key Homes of Maine, is the largest of its kind, said Ena Derenburger, sales manager for Turn Key Homes.
The show will continue from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
“We get quite a lot of traffic,” Derenburger said. “It’s been a big year, too. We’ve had quite a lot of people.”
She said most people who come out to the show are serious buyers. “They’re very educated about the process. By the time they come to us, they usually know what they’re looking for.”
Of course, others just like to go for fun to tour the houses. “It’s fun to look at new, beautiful homes,” Derenburger said.
The homes are primarily built in factories and shipped in pieces to the sites, then put together on slabs or foundations.
The four businesses, all on Route 26 in Oxford, showed off their range of homes, including modern, luxury log cabin and country-style ranch.
“There’s something for practically everyone, “Derenburger said. “We build to suit the buyer, from entry level to the most customizable.”
Norway Savings Bank, a sponsor of the event, had lenders available to discuss financing.
