1921 – 2016

AUBURN — Theresa E. St. Hilaire, 94, of Auburn died “of something” on Saturday, April 23, at Clover Health Care surrounded by her adoring children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was born in Drummondville, P.Q., Canada, on Oct. 3, 1921, the daughter of the late Arthur and Albina (Lamothe) Sarrazin and had been a resident of this community for most of her life.

She married Joseph G. St. Hilaire on June 9, 1951; and he died on March 12, 1994.

She was a business manager of State Roofing Co. in Auburn until 1987 all the while devoting her life to her children and being a loving memere.

She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and a parishioner of St. Louis Church until its closing. Theresa had a passion for the outdoors, doing her yard work and being in the woods was her favorite place to be. She was an avid square dancer and her favorite flower was the daisy.

She is survived by four daughters, Adele Ford and her husband, Steve, of Lake Forest, Calif., Anne St. Hilaire of Auburn, Carmen Baldwin and her husband, Bruce, of Westbrook and Rachel Lapointe of Greene; two sons, David St. Hilaire and his wife, Patricia, of Auburn and John St. Hilaire and his wife, Barbara, of Turner; nine grandchildren, Ben, Crystal, Jake, Naomi, Katie, Shaylah, Adam, Brian and Paige; 11 great-grandchildren, Gabbie, Kallie, Hannah, Trevor Jason, Evan, Ryan, Tyler, Tatiana, Talia, Krista and Giana; one sister, Marie Florence Sylvester of Massachusetts; two sisters-in-law, Lorraine Sarrazin of Lewiston and Jean Sarrazin of Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by three sisters and four brothers.
