YORK BEACH — Donald E. Leclerc, 85, of 119 Long Beach Ave., passed away Thursday, April 28.
He was born Aug. 27, 1930, in Central Falls, R.I., a son of the late Egide J. and Yvonne (Fortier) Leclerc. He had worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. for many years, retiring as a district manager. He later worked as an independent insurance broker for 20 years. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Cochecho Country Club. He enjoyed wintering in Flagler Beach, Fla. He was a Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics fan.
He leaves his wife of 65 years, Barbara J. (Brown) Leclerc; three sons, Donald E. Leclerc Jr., Thomas E. Leclerc and Christopher R. Leclerc and his wife, Laura; three daughters, Penny L. Carrier and her husband, Andre, Kathleen D. Dumais and her husband, Steven, and Barbara J. Leclerc; two brothers, Gerard and Norman Leclerc; a sister, Olive Jones; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
