MONDAY, May 2

AUBURN — City Council workshop and meeting in the City Council Chamber on the second floor of Auburn Hall. The workshop at 5:30 p.m. will be a discussion of all city department budgets. The meeting at 7 p.m. includes adopting a form-based code scheme for the downtown, a public hearing on community development block grant spending, business license fees for New Auburn Little League and water flow studies of the Little Androscoggin River.

LEWISTON — Finance Committee meeting at 5:30 p.m. in the Administrator’s Conference Room on the bottom floor of City Hall. Agenda includes Fire Department purchase requests, water and sewer equipment purchase, ash hauling and a discussion about recycling and solid waste.

TUESDAY, May 3

LEWISTON — City Council workshop and meeting in City Council Chamber on the bottom floor of City Hall. The workshop begins at 6 p.m. The meeting follows at 7 p.m. with a public hearing on the city’s proposed comprehensive plan. 

WEDNESDAY, May 4

LEWISTON — Lewiston school budget public informational meeting at 6:30 p.m. at Farwell Elementary School cafeteria. The school budget referendum is May 10.

AUBURN — School Committee meeting 7 p.m., City Council Chamber at Auburn Hall.

THURSDAY, May 5

LEWISTON — Historic Preservation Review Board meeting at 3 p.m. in City Hall.

FRIDAY, May 6

LEWISTON — Free skin cancer screenings, 3-5 p.m., The Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing and Bates Mill Dermatology, 29 Lowell St. Call 207-795-8250 to schedule appointment.

SATURDAY, May 7

AUBURN — The Auburn Police Department, Auburn Recreation Department and Washburn School will present “Spring Fever: A family Fun Festival” from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Pettengill Park/Hasty Gym parking lot. There will be a bounce house and slide, a bike rodeo, raffles and games.
