1946 – 2016

LEWISTON — Roger Everett Hadley, 69, of West Paris passed away Wednesday, April 27, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston.

Roger was born Aug. 31, 1946, to Maurice L. Hadley and Audrey M. Chase Hadley. He graduated from West Paris High School in 1964. He had been employed by Cullinan Oil, N.H., Bragg and Carquest. He had been a volunteer firefighter for the town of West Paris, a 4-H leader and had been active with working steers, sheep and Haflingers. He belonged to the Tri-County Riders Club and the Maine Pony Teamsters. Roger loved hunting, and was looking forward to getting his free lifetime fishing license. He also enjoyed time at the Fryeburg Fair and being at camp.

Roger is survived by his companion and best friend, Kay Daniels of West Paris, and their four-legged friend, Fritz; daughter, Dr. Deborah Hadley and husband, Greg Bowman, of Waltham, Mass.; son, Andrew Hadley and wife, Sherri, of West Paris; son, Ryan Hadley; stepmother, Gloria Hadley of West Paris; stepsister, Lyn Andrews and husband, Gary, of West Paris; stepbrother, Lon Dresser of Gilead; and his adopted family, Sam Daniels and wife, Krista, of West Paris, Kathy Estes and husband, Richard, of West Paris; and all of the special grandkids and great-grandkids who called him Grampa Roger, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is predeceased by both of his parents; and a sister, Carmen Hadley.
