UPDATE: Chesterville man killed in 2-vehicle crash in Turner
TURNER — One driver was killed and another injured when their vehicles collided on Route 219/Howes Corner Road late Monday afternoon, authorities said.
The names of the drivers were not released Monday night.
Androscoggin County Chief Deputy William Gagne said a pickup truck and a sedan were going in opposite directions when they collided near the intersection with Hammond Road. Neither driver had passengers.
The survivor was taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston with non-life threatening injuries.
The pickup truck had a Comprehensive Land Technologies Inc. logo on the side. The business’ address is South China, according to its website.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
Both vehicles were demolished. Emergency crews from the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office and Turner Fire and Rescue responded to the scene.
State police reconstructed the accident.
