SABATTUS — Crews began closing almost half a mile of Pleasant Hill Road on Wednesday as part of an ongoing construction project.

Traffic will be detoured to Route 9 and Route 126 for 1.7 miles. Signs will direct motorists through the detour.

Access to the ball fields and the transfer station will be available from the north and south ends of Pleasant Hill Road.

The closure is expected to end by June 18, with construction to continue past June.

This $700,000 project is being performed by Crooker Construction of Topsham.
