Pepsi 11, Rotary 1

Cora Younk and Hannah Smith each had multiple hits, while Isabelle Trombley had a double to pace Pepsi in an opening day matchup on April 30 against Rotary 11-1 at Sweester Field. Elly Russell, Audrey Hamel and Cassidy Landre each had a hit for Pepsi. Smith pitched two innings, striking out all six batters she faced, while Julia Bilodeau pitched three innings of strong relief for Pepsi. Alexis Hart had a hit and scored a run for Rotary. Courtney Larson and Sophia Hartley shared the pitching duties.

Pepsi 14, Gee & Bee 4

Isabelle Trombley and Hannah Smith each had three hits to lead Pepsi past Gee & Bee 14-4 on Tuesday, May 3. Cora Younk smacked a triple, while Sarah Agren, Elly Russell, and Izzy Bullock each had a hit for Pepsi. Cassidy Landre pitched three innings for Pepsi earning the win, with Erin Cowie picking up the save in relief. Lizzy Duplissis and McKenzie Horton shared the pitching duties for Gee & Bee. Duplissis also crushed a double and scored a run, while Sam Gumprecht scored two runs for Gee & Bee.

East Auburn 12, Auburn Fire Fighters 4

East Auburn upped its record to 2-0 with a victory over Auburn Fire Fighters 12-4 in Auburn Suburban Major Baseball action. Will Cassidy hit two towering home runs driving in six runs to lead East Auburn. Kamden Masselli stroked three hits and scored four times, while Campbell Cassidy, Conor Leclerc and Braden Paradie each contributed two hits apiece for the victors. Christian Frey and Will Marcotte also contributed hits for East Auburn. Kade Masselli picked up the win on the mound relieving Drew Smith, who struck out six batters in only two innings of work. Alex Avila, Bryson Dumais, and Caleb Albert all contributed hits for the Firefighters.

Gifford’s 4 Hardy Wolf and Downing 2

Gifford’s Elijah Demers threw four innings of no-hit shut out ball, striking out nine to help Gifford’s break into the win column. Daniel Cifelli pitched in relief getting a save. Ben Belanger had two hits for Gifford’s including a double. Conor Burtchell had an RBI and a single. Hardy Wolf and Downing got its lone hit in the sixth from Clay Rollins. Nick Gagne, Gabe Garica and Noah Harkins worked around multiple jams to keep the game close.
