BRIDGTON — Gallery 302 is welcoming artist Ted Anderson to its cooperative of artists who show and sell their original artwork at the gallery.

Anderson is a photographer and designer based in Harrison with a passion for photographing landscapes, interiors and people. He grew up in New Jersey and is a graduate of Stockton University.

He has worked in the museum field since 1981, designing graphics and interpretive exhibitions for museums, history centers and other cultural institutions. His work has often involved photography, which he considers his true creative passion, and his photographs have been featured in Musée Magazine, F-Stop Magazine, JPG and Maine Home + Design.

The pared down features in many of his images reflect an interest in natural history, in the passage of time and the remnants of the past in the present. While his photographs are taken in places as diverse as the lakes and beaches in Maine, gardens in England and the rural hills of New York, they all reveal a preference for the simplicity and a certain joyfulness that can exist with austerity.

Anderson’s photos may be viewed at the gallery at 112 Main St.
