LEBANON, Tenn. — Bonneta “Bonnie” Irene Nile Ferguson, 56, of Lebanon, Tenn., passed away Wednesday, April 27, at Tennova with loved ones by her side.
Bonnie was employed by Genesco where she brought joy and smiles to whomever she came into contact with. She lived her life to help others and often helped herself in doing so.
She fought a valiant battle with lung cancer and just like so many other battles in life she did so with veracity and love. She shocked so many along the way, broke all the rules and amazed everyone until her last breath.
She is survived by her loving family, her parents, David and Carolyn Allen; siblings, Raymond (Marsha) Nile, Theresa (David) True, Darlene (Joey) Alexander, all of Maine; children, Sandy (Chris) McNally and Wayne (Rebecca) McNally of Maine, and Jessica (Daniel) Owens of Tennessee; grandchildren, Lauren, Wayne, Carter, Mason and Elizabeth, who each held a special light in her eye and looked up to their nana incredulously.
The family would like to thank Gentiva for its unwavering commitment from home health to hospice. Also, thank you to Sherry’s Run and the American Cancer Society for your love and care.
