1932 – 2016

LEWISTON — Rudolpho A. Flores Sr., 84, passed away Monday, May 30, at Central Maine Medical Center.

He was born in San Pedro, Mexico, on Jan. 2, 1932, the son of the late Eduardo and Alta Gracia (Acosta) Flores.

At the age of 36, Rudolpho moved from Juarez, Mexico, to Maine where he spent the remainder of his life. He was a devout Catholic, and was attending Mass at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Lewiston. He worked for more than 20 years at Quinco Fabrics in Lewiston as a weaver.

Rudolpho was an artist at heart, as he loved to draw pictures and also take photographs of his family. His biggest passion in life was spending time with his family. He was known to be the best person to decorate a house for Christmas, and would even decorate inside and out. In his down time, Rudolpho loved the therapeutic aspect of spending time gardening.

He is survived by his loving wife, Maria (Valadez) Flores; his three sons, Eduardo and his wife, Pauline, of Poland, Rudy and his wife, Leslie, of Augusta, and Marty and his wife, Marcy, of Gorham; his two daughters, Angela Flores of Lewiston, and Alta Travers of Lewiston; his two sisters, Elisa and Elbira of San Pedro, Mexico; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.

Rudolpho was predeceased by his parents; his son, Juan Flores; and several brothers and sisters.
