FARMINGTON — Police charged a Bingham man with burglary and theft at the Thai Smile & Sushi Restaurant on Thursday night.

Reda Sabri, 38, was arrested Sunday in Augusta on a warrant, Deputy Chief Shane Cote said.

A door at the Narrow Gauge Square restaurant was forced open, but Cote declined to say what was taken because the case is still under investigation.

The burglary was reported Friday morning by the restaurant staff. Police linked Sabri to the crime by matching the description of a suspect in a trespassing complaint at another downtown business Thursday evening to the suspect on surveillance video from inside the restaurant, Cote said.

Sabri remained at the Farmington jail as of noon Monday.
