1931 – 2016
NORWAY — On Tuesday, June 7, Randall Brown passed away peacefully at his home with his loving family at his side.
He was born to Weston and Hazel (LaFoie) Brown on April 12, 1931. He served in the U.S. Air Force from Aug. 25, 1951, until he was honorably discharged on July 27, 1954.
Two years later, he married the love of his life, Joan (Russell) Brown, on July 28, 1956. She predeceased him a few years earlier.
He worked many years in the Maine woods and later was a custodian for the Oxford Hills School District.
Randall and Joan were blessed with six children: Joyce, who died in infancy, Fran (Dale) Cunningham, Pam Ignasiak, Betty (Jim) Packard, Randall W. Brown and David (Karen) Brown.
He was an avid Yankees fan, loved boating and fishing, and enjoyed the great outdoors of Maine. He enjoyed spending time with his seven grandchildren and his 11 great-grandchildren, who kept him young. He especially enjoyed spending time with his best friends and dogs, Molly, Buddy and Boomer.
The family would like to thank the hospice nurses, his daughter, Pam, and his grandchildren who cared for him and made his passing comfortable. He will truly be missed by all.
