MEXICO — The Police Department responded to 56 incidents over the last week, including the following:

* 2:02 p.m. June 16: Police Chief Roy Hodsdon said his department has continued to receive several IRS scam complaints a week from residents. He reminded residents to call the department if they receive any calls they suspect of being scams.

*9:17 p.m. June 16: Hodsdon said his officers responded to the report of an assault on Mexico Avenue. Hodsdon said that upon responding, his officers discovered it was a dispute between sisters and their boyfriends. The case is under investigation and charges are pending for assault, Hodsdon said.
