PORTLAND — Police say the body of a 23-year-old Scarborough man has been recovered from Portland Harbor.

Police believe the man to be Matthew Foster, who was last seen June 10. The Portland Fire Department recovered the body, which is going to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death.

Witnesses saw the body in the water between Union Wharf and Widgery Wharf.

Authorities used sonar to assist divers in trying to find Foster during a search last week. The search was suspended Friday.
