LIVERMORE — Republican voters in Androscoggin County elected Joanna Said of Livermore as their candidate for Register of Probate in the fall election.

Said received 52.7 percent of the vote to defeat Leslie Dubois of Lewiston by 144 votes, 1,430-1,286.

Said formerly served as Register of Probate in 2014 when she was appointed by Gov. Paul LePage to fill a vacancy until a special election could be held. In the 2014 special election, Said lost to Brian Bolduc, who resigned last fall.

She will face Democrat Ira Bittues in the Nov. 8 general election. Bittues ran unopposed in the Democratic primary.
