1943 – 2016

LEWISTON — Ronald O. Locke, 73, of Lewiston died early Thursday morning, June 23, at Central Maine Medical Center following a long illness.

He was born in Lewiston on June 1, 1943, the son of the late Owen W. and Doris (Beaulieu) Locke and had been a resident of this community all of his life. He was educated in Lewiston schools.

He was a Mason and a Shriner. He played the trumpet in the Fanfare Concert Band, the Kora Temple Band and the Bath Community Concert Band.

Ronald enjoyed being a pilot, building model airplanes, woodworking, puzzle box making and most of all enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, the former Lorraine Doyon, whom he married Sept. 6, 1965, of Lewiston; one daughter, Michelle Poulin and her husband, Roger, of Lewiston; two sons, Darren Locke and his companion, Laura Bandura, of Houston, Texas, and Dan Locke and his companion, Kristine Davis, of Lewiston; two grandchildren, Erica and Ryan Webber, both of Lewiston; and one brother, Michael Locke and his wife, Kay, of Germantown, Ohio.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a son, William O. Locke, who died on Dec. 12, 1973.
