1934 – 2016

LARGO, Fla. — Virginia Ruth McNulty, 82, of West Paris passed away Monday, June 27, at Oak Manor Nursing Home in Largo, Fla.

She was born in New York City, N.Y., on May 21, 1934, the third daughter of Haig Tozian and Naomi LeMon Tozian. She graduated from Ridgefield Park High School in Ridgefield Park, N.J., and shortly after, married James Thomas McNulty Jr. in 1952 and had three daughters.

After raising her girls, she became a tourism professional in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. Upon retirement, she and her husband built a home in the Maine woods and enjoyed 25 years with their extended family for vacations and holidays.

She is survived by her children, Sharon Lee McNulty of Newburgh, N.Y., Debra Gail Rizzo of Newburgh, N.Y., and Jamie Lynn McNulty-Pires and husband, Karl Stanley King, of Seminole, Fla.; sister-in-law, Muriel McNulty Spill of Sacramento, Calif.; three grandchildren, Jonathan Miles Schatz of Vancouver, B.C., Taylor Lauren Schatz of Fort Lee, N.J., and James Manuel Pires of Seminole, Fla.; step-grandchildren, Bryan Scott King and wife, Nicole Amber King, of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Jeremy Alan King and wife, Tiffany Marie King, of Edgewater, Fla.; four step-great-grandchildren, Maddalyn, Jackson, Jason and Alyssa; and her beloved dachshund, Heidi Marie McNulty.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, James Thomas McNulty Jr.; and her sisters, Miriam Hansen, Betty Eckert, and Patricia Link.
