Hope Association garage sale

RUMFORD — The Hope Association will hold a garage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday, July 11 to 15 and July 18 to  22, at 85 Lincoln Ave. 

The session is open to the public. The sale will include clothing.

Lithuanian Heritage Club to meet

RUMFORD — The Lithuanian Heritage Club will meet Wednesday, July 13, at Sam’s Italian’s Shop on Route 2.

Planning for the Lithuanian Picnic on Sept. 17 has begun.

Peru Historical Society to meet

PERU — The Peru Historical Society will have a work meeting at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 14, at the Peru Historical Society Building.

FAYETTE — The Underwood Memorial Library will begin its summer story hour at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 14, and continue each Thursday through Aug. 25.

There will be a different theme each week. Children may have some summer fun with Lady Elaine and her helpers.

Stone-Smart Post 82 meets

NORWAY — Stone-Smart Post 82, American Legion, met on June 8 and had a picnic dinner provided by the Auxiliary.

There will be no general meetings during July and August. Executive meetings will continue on the fourth Wednesday of each month. All members are welcome.

At the last executive meeting Bryant Gurney and James Neary were presented with certificates of appreciation for their hard work and long hours over the past year.

There will be karaoke from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, July 23. 

There will be a picnic at the Fielders on Sunday, Aug. 7.

Bingo will continue on Mondays at 6 p.m. Doors open at 4 p.m.

Coffee hour is every Tuesday at 9 a.m.
