DIXFIELD — Dixfield Regional High School Class of 1966 celebrated its 50th reunion June 25 at the Dixfield Historical Society with 18 of its original 47 members in attendance.

Light refreshments and punch were served while remembering the 17 alumni who have passed away.

The class played 1960s music, lit a memory tree and shared photographs. 

Everyone gathered afterward at the high school for the Dixfield/Dirigo Alumni Association Banquet. Dixfield Regional is now Dirigo High School. 

Class President Charlotte Collins welcomed everyone and presented Sharon (Robbins) George with a special certificate honoring her for “working hard and earning her doctorate degree in nursing.”

Graduating Dirigo High School senior Jessica J. Carrier of Peru was presented with a special $1,000 scholarship from the Class of 1966.

Patricia Holt was the winner of the class crossword puzzle, winning a special Slinky as the prize. Crystal read “Living in Black and White,” a poem from The ’60s Official Site, and classmates left with favors of old-time, retro candies, which proclaimed that they “survived their 50th class reunion.”

JAY — The annual gathering of graduates from Wilton Academy will take place Tuesday, July 12, at LaFleur’s Restaurant.

Social hour will be held from 11 a.m. to noon followed by lunch at 12:15 p.m. A meeting of the graduates will take place after the meal.

LEWISTON — Two 1961 River Valley high school classes will meet for their 55th reunion.

Rumford’s Stephens High school Class of 1961 has invited Mexico High School Class of 1961 to join the reunion. 

The reunion will be held Saturday, Aug. 20, at the Ramada Inn.
