WILTON — Wilton Free Public Library will host acclaimed local author Douglas Walrath at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 14, at 6 Goodspeed St.
Walrath is the author and co-author of 10 books, including “Displacing the Divine: The Minister in the Mirror of American Fiction.” He will discuss his latest book “Naked Believer” during the presentation.
According to Maine Attorney General Janet T. Mills, “Naked Believer” is an “inspirational novel describing the spiritual conflict between a man and a woman who are enormously attracted to each other but divided by belief combines the passion and tension of new romance with a deep dialogue about God, faith and cultural conventions, about religion as a ‘salvage operation,’ and the search for a God ‘ who is more than a cosmic ambulance attendant.’ A thoroughly provocative and enjoyable book.”
Walrath will give a book signing.
