1927 – 2016
FREEPORT — Eunice L. Brewer, 88, of Leeds passed away Wednesday, July 6, at the Hawthorne House in Freeport surrounded by her family.
She was born in Portland on July 20, 1927, a daughter of the late Frank W. and Armrel L. (Holt) Porter. At an early age she moved with her grandparents to Houlton, where she attended local schools.
Eunice loved listening to her great-grandchildren play. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, crossword puzzles and telling stories.
She is survived by her children, John Brewer and his wife, Sandra, of Harker Heights, Texas, James Brewer of Yarmouth, Nancy Childs and her husband, William Sr., of Leeds, and Betty Brewer of Liberty, Pa.; a brother, Robert Porter and his wife, Lois, of Biloxi, Miss.; 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was also the mother of the late Rose-Mary Hobbs Green and Barbara Brewer.
