RANGELEY — The first Rangeley Lakes Fly In & Air Show will be held Saturday, July 16, at the Steven A. Bean Municipal Airport.

There will be a fly-in for pilots, with the airplanes on display for spectators. Local pilots will be coming together to provide the spectators with a fly over with land and float planes.

Airplanes, helicopters and antique automobiles will be displayed. The United States Border Patrol and the Marines Heavy Helicopter Squadron 772 with the CH53E Super Stallion will be part of the show.

Dan Marcotte of Marcotte Air Shows will give an aerobatic performance and a race down the runway in his Jet Car starting at noon. Acadian Air will provide helicopter or plane rides throughout the day.

Three three-award winning restaurants will serve breakfast and lunch: The Ginger Bread House, Bald Mountain Camps and The Shed.

Vendors include aviation, arts and crafts, furniture and motorized sporting equipment.

SAY WHAT?!” a group of local musicians will provide live music throughout the day.

Rangeley Lakes Seaplane Base (M57) is on Rangeley Lake and transportation will be available to the air show.

Ticket prices are $10 per person and $30 maximum for per family.
