WEST PARIS — A local teen was transported to the hospital Monday night with minor injuries after crashing his car into a house on Abbott Hill Road, according to Oxford County Deputy Steve Whitham.

Tanner Marston, an 18-year-old from the area, was turning left from North Paris Road onto Abbott Hill Road when he lost control of his Volkswagen Jetta, striking the side of a single-family home, Whitham said. The house is occupied but none of the residents were injured.

Whitham said Marston initially ran from the scene but was later found with the help of witnesses.

The crash occurred around 7 p.m.

According to Whitham, Marston is charged with attaching false plates, illegal transportation of scheduled drugs, illegal transportation of drugs by a minor, illegal transportation of liquor by a minor, operating without a license, violating conditions of release and leaving the scene of an accident.

Marston remained at Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway on Tuesday with minor injuries. He is scheduled to appear in Oxford County Superior Court in November.

Oxford County Sheriff’s Office officials and an ambulance crew responded to the scene.
