FARMINGTON — Franklin County Animal Shelter, 550 Industry Road, will participate in Clear the Shelters on Saturday, July 23.
The annual nationwide pet adoption drive takes place from noon to 5 p.m.
The shelter will waive adoption fees on adult cats and reduce adoption fees on kittens, puppies and adult dogs.
“We are so excited to be part of this national drive to get pets into homes,” said Executive Director Heidi Jordan.
The shelter teamed up with New England Cable News and Telemundo Boston TV stations.
Last year’s event resulted in nearly 20,000 pets finding new homes across the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
