AUBURN — Four up-and-coming young bands from around the state will play in a talent showcase from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 24, at The Sapphire Nightclub, 150 Center St.

The show features The Skidmarks, a five-piece band from Auburn that plays classic rock and current Top 40 hits; The Values, a three-piece band from Sidney that plays alternative and classic rock, plus its own original pieces; The Rubber Band, a three-piece band from Windham that plays rock ‘n’ roll, blues and its own originals; and Fules Gold, a four-piece band from Readfield that plays progressive rock, reggae and jamming tunes.

Brownstaff Talent Productions, a Lisbon-based talent agency that works specifically with young bands, is producing the event. Each band will receive a DVD of its performance produced by CSP Mobile Productions LLC, a Saco-based company covering major events across the country for numerous TV networks. Those attending the event will also likely be part of the recordings.

Tickets are $5 at the door and can be purchased from any band members or by calling 207-353-4636.
