LEWISTON — Police are seeking the identity of a man captured on surveillance cameras in connection with a robbery on Saturday at The Vault, a high-end wine shop at 84 Lisbon St.
The man in photos released by police is a suspect in an aggravated assault on the store’s female clerk, acting Deputy Chief Adam Higgins said Monday.
The robbery happened shortly before 3 p.m.
The clerk was “brutally” beaten and hospitalized, according to store owner Keith Tannenbaum. She has since been released from Central Maine Medical Center.
