LEWISTON — Eleven students recently graduated from a home-buyer education course taught by Community Concepts Finance Corp.

By completing this course, some students may be eligible to receive $3,500 to assist with the purchase of their first home.

Students covered a variety of topics, including how to create a household budget, potential first time home-buyer resources and the importance of understanding their credit report and credit score.

Students got to work with industry professionals who shared tips on their field of expertise.

“I really enjoyed hearing from the different guest presenters. I even learned tips on how to make my current living space more energy efficient,” said Samantha Hinson of Lewiston. “After taking this course, I feel much better about exploring home ownership. ”
