New England Celtic Arts will present Scottish super group Dallahan in concert in Harrison, Farmington, Portland and Phillips.

The group will be at Deertrees Theatre in Harrison on Thursday, Aug. 11; at North Church Concerts with the Farmington Historical Society on Saturday, Aug. 13; at One Longfellow Square in Portland on Sunday, Aug 14; and at the Phillips Area Community Center on Monday, Aug. 15.

Curtain times are 7 p.m. at all locations, except Harrison which is at 7:30 p.m.

Dallahan is one of the fastest-rising forces on the international folk circuit, heavily rooted in traditional Irish music but with hugely diverse backgrounds and influences. They call on their mixed Irish, Scottish and Hungarian heritage to create a unique and seamless musical montage, drawing in influences from jazz, funk, pop and classical music.

Following the release of their debut album, “When the Day Is on the Turn,” in 2014, the band toured extensively in North America and Europe.

Dallahan’s new release, “Matter Of Time,” showcases the sound it has developed since its debut album’s release. They have expanded and developed their ideas, exploring more ambitious and artful musical avenues while maintaining the same open-minded approach to traditional music.

In December 2015, they were shortlisted for Album of the Year as well and nominated for Folk Band of the Year at the Scots Trad Music Awards. A track from their debut album was also awarded Instrumental Cut of the Year at the Live Ireland Awards 2016.
