BRUNSWICK — The Maine State Music Theatre’s fourth annual Footlight Follies features 2 Ring Circus and a live auction. It takes place at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 15.
Based out of New York City, 2 Ring Circus merges the art of circus with the heart of Broadway.
Taking the term “triple threat” to the next level, performers take their love of dance and musical theatre to the air to create a polished aerobatic/theatrical experience that takes audiences to new heights.
The live auction begins at 9 p.m. and will feature a behind-the-scenes look at “Mamma Mia!” a walk-on role for one of the theater’s 2017 shows, a guest spot at local auditions in Brunswick, and a trip with “producer” status in New York with the theater’s artistic team.
Tickets to Footlight Follies may be purchased online at www.msmt.org or by calling 207-725-8769, or in person at the box office at Pickard Theater at 1 Bath Road. Prices range from $20 to $40.
There will be a preshow VIP party with entertainment, cocktails, heavy d’oeuvres and mingling with actors. It takes place at The Brunswick Hotel & Tavern, 4 Noble St., beginning at 5 p.m. Tickets to the VIP event cost $100 per person and include tickets to 2 Ring Circus and the live auction.
